What happens when everyone becomes a monster? Dracula goes to work, mummies catch the bus, and werewolves walk their dogs. Halloween is no longer special — it's just another ordinary day. But when someone shows up dressed as a perfectly normal human, the monsters are terrified. A playful, slightly twisted Halloween comedy about a world where being human is the scariest costume of all. Featuring English vocals with unexpected Japanese and Korean interjections, this song asks one strange question: Who's the real monster?
[Cold Open — Dry, Conversational] "Halloween is cancelled." 「なんで?」 "왜?" "Everybody's a monster." 「じゃ、普通の日じゃん。」 "...Exactly." [Verse 1] Dracula's late for work again Coffee stains on his velvet cape A mummy's waiting for the bus Her bandages are coming loose A werewolf walks a little dog A witch complains about her job And Frankenstein is on the phone "Sorry, boss, I'm almost home!" [Pre-Chorus] I bought a costume yesterday But everybody looks that way I tried some fangs I tried a tail 「いつも通り!」 "그냥 평소잖아!" [Chorus] No more Halloween No more Halloween Nobody screams At anything The monsters work The monsters sleep They pay their bills And brush their teeth No more Halloween What a funny little world [Verse 2] I found a shirt A pair of jeans The plainest shoes You've ever seen No claws, no horns No painted scars Just someone looking Like we used to look I walked into The costume ball The music stopped They watched me all "What's that thing?" 「見たことない!」 "저거 진짜야?" [Chorus — Playful, Slightly Stranger] No more Halloween No more Halloween Nobody screams At anything A vampire yawns A zombie sneezes A ghost says "Could you close the window, please?" No more Halloween Till I walk into the room [Bridge — Sudden Quiet] "Excuse me..." A little monster Tugs my sleeve "Are you human?" "...Maybe." "Is that a costume?" I smile and say "Of course." [Final Chorus — Same Melody, Different Meaning] No more Halloween No more Halloween Everybody's dressed Like what they've always been No more Halloween No more Halloween But when I take My costume off... [Stop] 「えっ?」 "잠깐..." [Ending — Almost Spoken] "Happy Halloween." "...Don't say that."
